IDEATION ENTERS JOINT VENTURE TO FORM NEW COMPANY
Southfield, Michigan – February 9, 2006 - Ideation International Inc.
announced today it has entered a joint venture with Inno Excellence
Group and Consultant Dr. Michael Chiang to launch Ideation China-Taiwan
LLC. The company has been formed to provide businesses in Southeast Asia
with a new approach to innovation and invention.
Inno Excellence Group is a Six Sigma leader in training and coaching
services. Dr. Chiang is an associate professor at the MingHsin
University of Science & Technology in HsinChu, Taiwan and a part-time
consultant for Inno. His multi-faceted industrial experience includes
quality engineering and management, engineering statistics, design of
experiments, Taguchi Methods, Six Sigma (DMAIC & DFSS), data mining, and
I-TRIZ (Theory of Innovative Problem Solving). Dr. Chiang is certified
as an ISO9001 Lead Assessor, Six Sigma Black Belt, Six Sigma Master
Black Belt and logistics engineer.
“Our goal was to help people working in research and development make
real breakthroughs and become more innovative,” said Jack Chang, CEO of
Inno. Chang holds two bachelors degrees, one in electrical engineering
from Tun Nan College and one in applied foreign language from Taiwan
Technology University. He is also certified as a GE Capital Six Sigma
Master Black Belt and a graduate of the GE Leadership Development
Program and GE Advanced Management Course.
“Michael discovered Ideation’s I-TRIZ, a knowledge-based inventive
problem-solving methodology, brought it to Taiwan and conducted training
with some of our customers,” said Chang. “We also tested Ideation’s
support software. The results were powerful.”
Customers trained with I-TRIZ reported two key advantages. “Our
customers were used to more conventional psychological-based problem
solving that incorporated their own knowledge and experience,” said
Chang. “With I-TRIZ they felt they had for the first time discovered a
logical,
science-based approach to innovation. Secondly, the I-TRIZ methodology
can be repeated and duplicated for all types of problem solving.”
Ideation China-Taiwan will be headquartered in Southfield, Michigan with
satellite offices in China and Taiwan. Jack Chang will head the new
company as Managing Director with Michael Chiang serving as Chief of
Technology Officer. The new company will provide I-TRIZ methodology,
software products, training and analysis services. “We plan to introduce
I-TRIZ to China and Taiwan first primarily targeting the automotive, IT
and high technology markets,” Chang said.
Zion Bar-El, CEO of Ideation which is headquartered in Michigan, is no
stranger to the global marketplace. His business experience, both in and
outside the United States, gives Ideation the ability to easily navigate
cultural boundaries to help companies solve non-technical and
technological problems. “I’m very excited about teaming with
professionals of the stature of Jack Chang and Michael Chiang said,”
Bar-El said. “The opportunity to penetrate new markets, help businesses
design better products and learn new ways to be creative will quickly
establish Ideation China-Taiwan as a market leader in innovation.”
